Iorana Rapa Nui

In 2017, management of the National Park on Rapa Nui or Easter Island was transferred to the indigenous Polynesian community Ma’u Henua and I was honored to partner with them to document the island’s cultural heritage. Since 2017 we have continued working with partners on four subsequent expeditions.

A Deal with the Rainmaker | Nigeria

The Sacred Grove of Osun Osogbo is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on the banks of the Osun river. The site is home to incredibly ornate shrines to different Yoruba deities and is visited by thousands during the yearly Osun Festival. Today, the site is threatened by flooding and changing weather patterns. In 2018, 2020 and 2023 I was thrilled to partner with the Nigerian government, the Adunni Osun Foundation and the incredible community of artists who protect this place to digitally document and share some of the stories about this important heritage.

Embracing Limbo in Tamil Nadu | Mahabalipuram, India

In 2019 I traveled to Chennai to document the Shore Temple of Mahabalipuram which is being damaged by salt content in the air. As my first project in India I was thrilled to visit such an incredible place with such a rich history. However, the project coincided with the water crisis that affected the region and I hope we can do more to safeguard this place for future generations.
